2115 Main St,Ted Winterer was born in Brooklyn, New York, attended high school in Manhattan, and graduated from Dartmouth College with a B.A. in English literature and film studies. He moved to Los Angeles in 1990 to work in the entertainment industry. However, traveling to work in locations away from home wasn’t compatible with raising a family, so he transitioned into real estate sales.
With over a decade of experience in a single-family home and condo sales, Ted’s primary goal when working with buyers and sellers is to reduce his client’s stress, as he knows real estate transactions are often the biggest investment a person will make. To that end he works closely with both buyers and sellers, communicating frequently during each step of the process and addressing any problems in a deal with firmness and poise. Ted is proud of his reputation as an honest, congenial, and forthright Realtor®.
A resident of Santa Monica since 1992, Ted and his architect wife raised their two children here. Their daughter is now a sophomore at Amherst College and their son is in his first year at Santa Monica High School. His family also includes two dogs and a cat, all rescued from shelters. As a former Santa Monica Mayor and City Councilmember, Ted has deep ties to his community and an extensive network of relationships across LA County. He remains involved in local civic affairs as co-chair of Community for Excellent Public Schools and a board member of the Main Street Business Improvement Association and the Santa Monica Bay Audubon Society.
